If the charging logs show an issue with the lock mechanism, eg.
Debug | DEVICE | -- | Failed to lock the cable! M Cur |
Ask the customer to do the following:
First plug the cable into the car
Identify with RFID (if enabled)
Insert cable into charging box with firm pressure inwards and upwards at the same time.
Avoid "failed to lock cable"
If the outlet turns to red during a charging attempt, the earth-fault circuit breaker may have tripped in the Auran or
the charging cable could not be locked in the charging box.
Make sure to use the best suited charging cable if possible. Unfortunately, the charging cables are different
manufacturer to manufacturer. We have tested a number of charging cables and have come to the conclusion that one of them works
better is Deltaco, some that work worse are Volvo's own.
To avoid that the charging cable ends up out of position in the charging box so that the solenoid cannot lock fasten the charging cable, do as follows:
1. First put the charging cable in the car
2. Unlock the charging box (with app, RFID, etc.)
3. Insert the cable into the charging box
4. Push it in firmly with an inward pressure and slightly upwards
5. Wait until you hear the cable locking
6. Make sure the socket turns yellow or blue and not red
If the outlet still turns red after these steps, the solanoid may have fallen out
position or the internal earth fault circuit breaker has tripped.
We can see in our logs if it is the earth fault circuit breaker that tripped or if it is still there
problem with locking the cable. If you contact us to find out about this, make sure you have time and
date of the charging attempt.
