Configuration & troubleshooting guide WiFi 2.4 GHz connection
How to connect your Halo to a wireless network (WiFi)
- Restart your HALO via the fuse (the device only broadcasts its WiFi for about 10 minutes).
Put the device you are configuring in airplane mode and forget/disconnect from available WiFi.
Search for available networks - Find the network HALO_NNNNNNNN, where NNNNNN is the last six digits of the serial
- number.Connect to the HALO_NNNNNNN network and when it asks for a network key, enter the password found in the configuration patch. If you do not have access to it, contact support and have the purchase documents and serial number of your Halo ready.
- When you are connected to HALO_NNNNNNNN you will get the message that there is no internet available which is OK.
- Open new page in the browser and enter the IP address 192.168.250.1 in the browser's address bar
You will get a configuration page where you see which WiFi is available for Halo (2.4 GHz network only). You should now see the SSID (network name of your WiFi and signal strength). - The signal strength should be at least -80 dBm or better.
Enter the password for your wireless network and press Update.
If you cannot get your HALO online, try again and then contact Charge Amps Support
